i just realised i entitled my blog 'i'm forgiven, are you?'

one of the main reasons why i decided to start blogging was that i wanted to let the world know that christ lives in me. but i think i've let Him down. u know, i used to think i was a good boy. i think most people around me think so too (i hope). after all, a councillor is supposed to be exemplary, 'setting a noble example for our fellow students'. but there's so much more to following God's word than abiding by school rules. i was moping for a while about how ashamed i was of what i had done in the past (its not that bad la i guess, but im still unhappy i made such decisions, in my immaturity/rashness), and before i blogged, i realised the title of my blog.

i realised i was forgiven too.

i think its simply remarkable how God gives one chances. u can feel crap about something u did in the past, with your guilty conscience pricking you viciously every minute, but God does forgive. it means, it doesn't matter what u've done, because, you've been given another chance and your sins are being washed away.

take a step back, and marvel at how gracious and wonderful that is : )

anyway,several major events have occurred in my life recently. there was dance night, and today marked the end of my council term, with the 26th students council investiture. the sense of nostalgia was incredible..but i didn't cry la. hahah.as i sat on the chair facing the j1 crowd, i looked back at my council term and i thanked God for all the lessons i've learnt and all the solid friendships i've forged. although i've made a lot of stupid decisions in life, the day i decided to run for council was a right one, beacuse in council, you truly meet different people.

one of the people i have most respect for is junli, our president. she is truly an outstanding leader, but a very different one, say compared to jialun. some leaders command respect through intimidation, and some just have this aura which compells others to accord him or her some form of looking up to. for junli, it is her remarkable amount passion for raffles, and her unbelievable amount of love for her peers, and her amazing selflnessness that makes us all love her as a leader. i cannot express in words how privileged i feel to have a boss, a classmate, and most importantly, a friend like her.

throguhout my term, there were indeed several regrets. but i can't do anything about them now. i have 2 wonderful buddies joash and shiwei to learn from my mistakes. i think they are my perfect ending to my term..they've given me so much joy and encouragement : ) really...i love themm : )

now about dance night...it was such an amazing experience i wish i could live through it over and over and over again. performing for my love ones, after months of gruelling practice was simply exhilarating. it would never have been possibly without the dance night exco, the teachers, the dance ics ( you really have to be brave to be a dance ic..that means i am brave ahhaa).

although the zaki opening item wasn't as successful on saturday due to lack of practice prior to the performance, i thought the item undoubtedly managed to bring up the energy level :) i love doing the 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and 5 etc steps, even though all the j2s were O_O during the learning process. we've definitely come leaps and bounds : ) thank you angie for being in charge of this dance, and stepping up to take over zaki when he was most unfortunately recalled for reservist! think u did a great job of coordinating everything : )

latin :) another favourite. thank you wanjun and jem for painstakingly re-arranging andre's choreography into a sexy masterpiece! although this item took up the most practice, i guess it was worth it :D only 1 of andre's predictions came true. no girls screamed at the backside shaking part, only the body wave part. hahah. thanks meowmeow for being the best partner around! we have the best drops around right. hur hur hur. thanks for the cha-cha walks through the LT. (ok la it never materialised)

i can't believe that movie medley turned out to be such a success : ) everyone thought movie medley was screwed, but we came out strong! must have been stressful for wj, joy and evelyn. to many of us, movie medley was seemingly the dance which had the least priority. but at the last stretch, we practised hard and pulled it off :) i'll never hopping around in oversized yellow raincoats in 'singing in the rain', doing the retarded grease action in 'greased lightning', and prancing around like a fashion disaster in 'fame'. :)))))))

and COMBINED HIPHOP! yayy. im glad many ppl enjoyed this item. im super lucky to have such marvellous individual talents for this batch, with the likes of dehui and narpal. really, u just have to switch on some appropriate music and they can just make up something on the dance floor which never fails to invite gasps of pleasant surprise. and i'm even luckier to have a co-choreographer like cattie who always comes up with whacky ideas and corrects my skewed ones : D we really did it, and proved someone wrong :)hahaha. thank u to ALL THE 22 dancers in the item :) we really brought VT DOWN!!! couldn't have asked for a more wonderful bunch of people to work withh

overall, amarante was 06 was a huge success (at least, in my opinion). through the process, we bonded as a dance club, and created many indelible memories that will forever remain in our hearts.

thank u for all the presents that i received (LIKE THE IPOD CASE WHEEEEE THANKS BRYAN WJ JEM NAH SHAWN CHENWEI), the thank you cards. i truly appreciate them:)))

with dance night and council investiture over, i guess its time to focus on the upcoming gym competition in july. not forgetting the commontests too. sighhh..really gotta get my discipline back.

today, i had quite a lengthy dicussion with alicia and dennet about dating (or predating, rather, right dear? haha), and i realised that i hadn't talked to them seriosuly for such a long time. sometimes i think i must suppress my inner desire to make fun of ppl. cos it either annoys them thoroughly , or it turns them off. then they dont wanna tell you secrets anymore. so i managed to catch up with them :) while trying to shoot sparks across the table :)

to you: thank you for being there for me. i think without you, i'd be one depressed kid :) thanks for giving me something to smile about, and the comforting feeling that at least someone cares.

by popular request, i shall blog again. for the first time in a few months. i've been mother busy having dance prac...dance night is like 5 days away! but its going to be great :)

i'll give a synopsis of all the items now! but buy the programme booklet pls. cos there's my picture inside.

1.opening - choreographed by zaki( some eccentric malay guy who's choreographing skills are pro)..its really a great item with high energy! and the song is very happy. all j2s are involved

2.chinese dance tribal dance - cool item choreographed by xinyi...a j1 who's reallyreallyreallygood

3.ok i give up i am sian

the other items i am in are latin, movie medley and combined hiphop. for latin im partnering a noobcake, aka cathrina lee shi ying. who happens to be my co-choreographer of combined hiphop, who happens to be my chingay partner also. wa lao...sian of her already. hahaha

movie medley is really funny..its a combination of the movies fame, grease and singing in the rain. so we'll be dressed up in ancient clothing, prancing on stage to the rhythm of 'greased lightning',and pretending to be john travolta

ok..combined hiphop is going to be GREAT coz its going to be.basically its a hiphop battle between two groups of angsty young teenagers...the title is 'GET IT ON THE FLOOR' WOW so creative

ok...my homework is really dead now. but i'll catchup after dance night. i better. anyway..gym night concluded a few weeks ago. i think it went really well! : ) had a great expreience....ok but dance night will be good too!! yay
